Barcelona chief Xavier Vilajoana insists there’s no plans to sell Ansu Fati.
Reports in Spain have credited Manchester United with an interest in the wonderkid, viewing him as a possible alternative to Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
Vilajoana, a member of Barcelona‘s board who oversees the women’s team, the B side and their youth teams, has said they have “no intention” of selling Fati.
He told Sport: “For us there is no case, we never talk about selling [Fati]. We will not use the academy players to make cash.
“In principle, we have no intention of transferring those players we believe can reach the first team. I think [Fati’s] happy. He will be an important player in the coming years.”
