Spain U19 coach Santi Denia says Valencia midfielder Ferran Torres is capable of playing for the game’s elite.
The 20-year-old’s contract is up at Mestalla in 2021 and rumours are already beginning to circulate about his future, with Denia believing he could play for the biggest teams in the world.
“I see him at Valencia, who are a top-level team, or at [Manchester] City, who are a team that are normally in the Champions League,” Denia said.
“City, Barcelona, [Real] Madrid… He knows that he can continue to grow at Valencia.”
Nevertheless, Denia recognises that Ferran has a special place in his heart for Valencia.
“It’s clear he’s grown up at Valencia and loves that club,” Denia noted.
“He has been cared for, trained… Now it’s [down to] interest.
“Are Ferran and Valencia interested in going out? Well, they’ll come to an agreement.
“Will he renew or not? These are negotiations at the highest level.”
