Joan Laporta has announced he’s running for the Barcelona presidency.
Having been in office as president at the Camp Nou from 2003 to 2010, Laporta is hoping to get back into the hot seat.
“It’s a dramatic situation and we’re working on a proposal to turn things around,” Laporta told TV3’s ‘Tot es Mou’, confirming his intentions to run.
“I’m excited about it. I’ve already been president and I’m looking forward to continuing to work for Barcelona.
“I’m looking forward to managing a period in the club’s history where there will be players with a few years left who played when I was last president.
“The institutional image has to be changed because the image they’ve had in recent years isn’t what the club want.”
