The 25-year old forward is hoping to secure a dream move when the transfer window opens
Heracles star Cypriel Dessers has expressed his desire to play for one of the top five leagues in Europe but will not rule out joining a big club in the Belgian league.
The forward has been in superb form in this campaign, scoring 18 goals and providing six assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
His impressive showings for Heracles has seen him linked with a move to a number of European clubs as well as Belgian top-flight sides Anderlecht and Genk.
Although the 25-year old admitted his dream of playing for top clubs in Europe, he is open to returning to Belgium where he started his career.
“If a Belgian top club knocks, then I am certainly open to it. I have had a good season and I also want to realize my childhood dream: playing in a top-five league in Europe,” Dessers told Sporza.
“But if a Belgian top club registers, I would definitely listen”.
The centre-forward teamed up with Heracles last summer and has two years left on his current contract with the side.
Dessers is eligible to play for Nigeria and was part of the Super Eagles squad scheduled to take on Sierra Leone in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game last month before the match was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The striker will hope to continue his impressive form in front of goal when the Dutch top-flight resumes.
