Former Barcelona president Joan Laporta has praised the Lionel Messi and the players for accepting a pay-cut.
Messi announced that the first-team squad had agreed to a 70 percent reduction in their wages due to the coronavirus suspension before taking a swipe at the board of directors.
Laporta congratulated the players for their actions while also hitting out at president Josep Maria Bartomeu in a tweet.
“Confinement is bringing the best out of us in seeing the solidarity and commitment of the Barcelona players,” he said.
