Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho holds a grudge against Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, it has been revealed.
Sport says Coutinho was left to feel ‘outraged’ by Levy after the Tottenham chief pulled the plug on a proposed switch to north London last summer.
A deal to bring the Brazilian to north London had been all but agreed, only for Levy, a wily negotiator known to be tight with the purse strings, to reduce the finances involved in the deal at the last minute.
The transfer never came to be and now Coutinho is reportedly so outraged with Levy’s change of position that he will not consider moving to Tottenham in the future.
The Brazilian is currently on loan at Bayern Munich for the remainder of the season.
