Barcelona to make Coutinho available for new loan

Barcelona plan a new loan arrangement for Philippe Coutinho next season.

Marca says Manchester United and Chelsea have been put on red alert after Barcelona made clear their desire to send Coutinho out on loan again next season.

The Brazilian playmaker has failed to live up to expectations at the Nou Camp since his £142million move from Liverpool in 2018.

Coutinho was shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich this season but, again, has not hit the heights expected and the German giants will not take up the option to sign him permanently in the summer.

Indeed, Barcelona “cannot find a club” that is willing to meet their asking price of £72million at the end of the season.

But they’re willing to let him leave the Nou Camp on a temporary basis again, which could potentially interest Premier League clubs.
