Ex-Paraguay striker Cuevas admits Barcelona great Ronaldinho ‘sad in prison’

Former Paraguay international striker Pipino Cuevas has visited Ronaldinho in jail.

The Barcelona great is currently behind bars in Asuncion as a case is being prepared over allegedly traveling with a false passport.

“I saw Ronaldinho and he is sad in prison. Hopefully he can get out soon. He is only sad about the situation. His lawyers handle all the rest,” said Cuevas.

“We can talk about how he is. Let’s see how we can help him. Personally, I think Ronaldinho is a victim. If you used the documents they gave you, it is down to them. I support him and hope it is clarified as quickly as possible, so he can be at least under house arrest.

“He is a good person because of what he feels.

“Compared to penitentiaries, the place is great. But not as he is used to. Even though he was able to play soccer too. He is next to his brother, in a room with two beds.”
