Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior has explained turning down Barcelona when still with Flamengo.
Real beat Barca to the signing of Vinicius two years ago with an offer of €45m.
And he recalled to Four Four Two: “Real Madrid and Barcelona had put offers on the table and I only had three days to make my decision.
“I always wanted to play for the biggest club, that’s why I chose Real Madrid. My parents visited the two clubs and preferred Real. It corresponded to what I already wanted and I felt that their project was better for me.
“They give a lot of minutes to young players like me and were going through a period of extraordinary success in the Champions League at the time.”
