Argentine coaching great Cesar Menotti can understand Barcelona making a move for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
Barca have made an offer for Martinez this week as they push to reach an early agreement to bring the Argentina international to the Nou Camp this summer.
Barca have offered €70m cash plus Nelson Semedo and Arturo Vidal. It’s suggested Semedo is rated at €30m by Barca and Vidal €20m – valuations Inter dispute.
For Menotti, the Blaugrana should pursue a deal for Martinez as a priority ahead of PSG star Neymar.
El Flaco told Mundo Deportivo: “Lautaro is very young and full of potential. He has a huge future.
“Neymar looked like he was going to be (Lionel) Messi’s heir, but since he left Barcelona he has been a player without the same prestige.”
Menotti had a year in charge of Barca between 1983-84.
