Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet was disappointed by the sacking of coach Ernesto Valverde.
Valverde was dumped over the New Year, despite Barca being top of the LaLiga table and qualifying for the round of 16 in the Champions League.
Lenglet told L’Equipe: “I was disappointed for the former coach. It is never easy for someone to be fired. Management felt that change was needed. They chose Quique Setién who had a philosophy which suited them well and which corresponds to the game of Barça.
“So we are learning. We saw differences in the matches we played with the new coach. Now, we will have to refine the details, be even more efficient to get these titles. Because ultimately, what changes from season to season is winning titles.”
