Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has moved to buy another European club.
Pique already part-owns local outfit Andorra FC and Blick says he made a more ambitious attempt to buy Switzerland’s FC Lugano.
A meeting took place a few days ago in Ticino between Pique and Lugano president Angelo Renzetti. However, both parties could not agree. The reason is said to be the weak economic figures of the Swiss Super League outfit.
Together with his consultant and business partner Arturo Canales, Pique is pursuing the goal of owning a club in the top five European football nations, or at least holding shares.
