30′ GOOD CHANCE! Zaccagni is being closed down on the edge of the box so he squares it to his right for Lazovic to run onto. He drills his shot first time but he can’t get it on target as it rolls wide of the far post.
28′ Verona are unbeaten in their last three home league games (W2 D1); they last went unbeaten in four in a row at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi in February 2016 (W2 D2).
26′ Costa is the one that steps up to take the free-kick and his cross sails over the crowd of players waiting in the middle of the box. Silverstri doesn’t take any chances with it though as he punches it away.
25′ The fans are making their frustration clear after the disallowed goal and now there are more shouts ringing around the stadium as a free-kick has just been given against Veloso after Bentancur went to ground.
23′ IT’S DISALLOWED! There’s a long check on the goal by VAR and they’ve decided that Kumbulla was actually offside when the cross was put into the box and Szczesny will be relieved! Still 0-0!
21′ VERONA TAKE THE LEAD! The free-kick is crossed into the box by Veloso and Kumbulla finds space in between two defenders. He heads the ball straight at Szczesny and it’s a poor mistake from the goalkeeper as he gets two hands to it but can’t stop it from crossing the line. 1-0 Verona!
20′ Alex Sandro picks up the first yellow card of the game after sliding in and catching Faraoni with a late tackle.
19′ OFF THE BAR! Costa picks up the ball on the halfway line and makes a driving run through Verona’s half. He takes his shot from the edge of the box and the power beats Silvestri but it bounces back off the crossbar.
17′ Juventus just can’t get out of their own half at the moment as Verona continue to pile on the pressure. This time it’s Borini who goes for goal as he drills his shot from outside the box but he drags it wide of the far bottom corner.
15′ Bonucci is looking for options but can’t pick out a pass to one of his team-mates, so he decides to go for goal just inside Verona’s half. It’s a speculative effort and it bounces very wide of the left post.
13′ It’s patient build-up from Juventus as they venture forward again and Cuadrado curls a cross to Ronaldo on the edge of the box. He heads it back out to the right but none of his team-mates are there to bring it down.
11′ CLOSE! The corner is played to Pessina, who is unmarked on the left of the box. He scuffs his volley but his shot hits Rrahmani at the far post but he can’t do anything about it as it bounces just wide of the target.
10′ GREAT SAVE! It’s not clear if it was a cross or a shot, but Faraoni drills the ball towards goal from the right wing and it looks like it’s sneaking under the crossbar. Szczesny’s alert at his near post and tips it over with his fingertips.
8′ Verona have a free-kick in a good position on the left which is swung into the box by Veloso. Gunter rises highest in the middle but he gets caught under the ball and heads it high over the bar.
6′ Zaccagni whips a great cross into the middle of the box where Borini is waiting. His back is to goal so he tries to go for the spectacular, but Bonucci does really well to intercept it before the forward can make contact.
4′ Juventus are keeping the ball well in the opening minutes here despite Verona closing them down high up the field. A loose pass from Rabiot gifts possession to Veloso though and Pjanic ends up bringing him down in his attempt to win it back.
2′ GOOD CHANCE! Ronaldo flicks the ball onto Higuain and the forward makes a driving run into the box. He takes the shot from the right of the area, but Gunter gets across well to make the block in front of the goalkeeper.
1′ Pessina gets the game underway for Verona!
