Barcelona coach Setien on Valencia defeat: I didn’t like what I saw

Barcelona coach Quique Setien admits they weren’t good enough for their 2-0 defeat at Valencia.

Setien says his players are struggling with his system.

“There are some things the players aren’t interpreting well or we aren’t explaining well,” said Setien. “What we saw today we did not like and they did not like either.

Valencia closed us in well, we needed to create more. We made some senseless passes and we’re not working to do that.”

Quique commented: “We have to analyse the defeat, explain it and correct it. In the first half we didn’t play well at all. The best was getting in at half-time goalless. In the second we improved and got stuck into the game, but that’s not enough for us.”
