Barcelona are making a late move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
The France international, 33, has long been expected to leave Chelsea this month, with Inter Milan regarded as favourites for his signature.
Indeed, both Inter directors Piero Ausilio and Beppe Marotta have announced publicly they’re keen on Giroud.
However, Mundo Deportivo says Barca are entering the battle after losing Luis Suarez for four months following required knee surgery.
Barca are seeking short-term, readymade cover and club chiefs believe Giroud could fit the bill.
Chelsea are seeking around £10m to sell.
