Barcelona great Andres Iniesta admits he’d like to work with former teammate Xavi.
Al Sadd coach Xavi turned down the Barca job last week, claiming he was not ready for such a big job.
Iniesta said, “The tandem Xavi-Iniesta does not sound bad, but it is not possible right now.
“I did not say that I would like train a certain team, but as a coach – as time passes – I like the idea.”
Iniesta, off contract from Vissel Kobe, is now weighing up his next move.
“I really feel good, eager and excited,” he continued, “this year I enjoyed it a lot and I think it will be a matter of going year after year. The desire to go to train, play and have fun, I still have it, and the motivation remains. That is the most important.
“I’m really fine where we are and how everything is going.”
