Norwich overcame Preston North End in the third round of the FA Cup last time out to advance in the competition. However, they’re in a desperate battle to remain in the Premier League, starting the afternoon seven points adrift of safety. Daniel Farke’s men are winless in their last eight matches in the top flight, with their last win coming against Everton in November. The Canaries have drawn their last two Premier League outings against Tottenham and Crystal Palace and that will give them confidence heading into today’s contest.

After a decent spell over the Christmas period, United are in need of a response after suffering a three-match winless run since the turn of the year. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal before drawing on the road against Wolves in the FA Cup. The Red Devils were dismantled by Manchester City during the week in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final clash, leaving them with a huge challenge to overturn the deficit on the road. Solskjaer needs a performance from his team this afternoon and the pressure will be on them to prove a point against the Premier League’s bottom club.

Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Manchester United and Norwich City at Old Trafford.
