Tottenham boss Mourinho: Messi forces opposition coaches to improve

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has paid tribute to Barcelona captain Lionel Messi.

Mourinho admits facing Messi as a coach can be the biggest challenge in football.

He explained to Give Me Sport: “I played against Messi with Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid. In all them, with different approaches and objectives.

“Sometimes to win and sometimes not to lose, change or maintain a result.

“When you try to decode your game, to understand how he hurts the opponent, it’s too late to stop him, it’s something dramatic.

“In summary, Messi forces all coaches to become better, because he is the best.”
