Aleix Garcia concedes he has ambitions beyond Manchester City.
The midfielder is currently on-loan in Belgium with Mouscron.
He told Het Nieuwsblad: “You will never forget matches against Barcelona or Real Madrid. As a Catalan, winning with Girona in a packed Bernabeu was perhaps the best memory. I almost even scored against Thibaut Courtois, but I was so nervous that the ball ended up in the stands.”
Garcia also revealed he was close to joining Vincent Kompany‘s Anderlecht.
“We had some contact in the summer, but at the time I was not the kind of player Kompany was looking for [Anderlecht].
“Kompany was actually quite surprised by my performance so far. He knows me rather as a conservative, defensive midfielder, but at Mouscron I play a little higher, which resulted in those four goals.”
