Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde admits he’s been left uncomfortable with the club’s new documentary on last season.
The film goes behind the scenes on Barça’s campaign last season, revealing moments inside the dressing room and from the players’ personal lives.
However, neither Valverde or anyone from his squad attended the premiere on Thursday night. Asked why that was, he said: “I don’t know why no one went. When you’re invited, you can choose if you go or not. I didn’t go. What is this? An interrogation?”
In addition, the coach did not want to speak about the clip where Gerard Pique explains to the owner of Rakuten that the players would have gone to a party in New York with or without their coach’s consent.
“I have not seen the documentary so I don’t know what to say (about that),” Valverde said. “When your dad’s told you not to go to a party, have you never gone (to the party)?”
