Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez left frustrated with their Champions League defeat at Barcelona.
Inter lost 2-1 on Wednesday night, despite Martinez’s early opener.
“My goal must be put to one side,” the forward told ESPN.
“We had to win and we were doing very well, but the game ended with great bitterness.
“We had to take more of the chances we made. Messi is the best player in the world and Barca are hard to beat when he’s is on the pitch.
“You can’t leave him an inch of space because otherwise, the match gets out of hand.”
