Home-ground advantage might go out the window this weekend as clubs look to claim three points on the road
A number of Premier League clubs look poised to be troublesome visitors this weekend and present good value for money with Sportsbet.
Both Liverpool and Manchester City will be on the road with their odds of claiming victory inflated enough to make them worth a potential punt.
The Reds face Sheffield United on Saturday and are valued at 1.30 of leaving Bramall Lane with all three points. Pep Guardiola’s side meanwhile face Everton on Sunday with a win for last year’s champions going for 1.28.
Though far from the most attractive odds, they are fairly safe bets and present a bit more value than you’d usually get on the pair when playing at home.
Elsewhere, despite sitting bottom of the table, Watford (4.33) could be worth a bold bet when they travel to an inconsistent Wolves side that have won only three of their last 12 Premier League matches against teams starting the day bottom of the table.
Norwich (3.75) will also back their chances of beating Crystal Palace on their own turf based on current form, but history is against them with the Canaries winless in their last 15 away league matches against the Eagles.
Without a win in their last four matches, Newcastle (7.00) have been given no chance of beating Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, however, the Foxes have lost their last two home league games against the Magpies.
Best Multi-Bet
Manchester United‘s clash with Arsenal looms as the match of the weekend and offer some possible profits if approached right.
One quirky bet to get things rolling is for a penalty to be awarded (2.42) at any point during the match. This season, the Red Devils have won the most (4) and Arsenal have conceded the most (3) spot-kicks in the competition.
Looking beyond the penalty spot, United are unbeaten in their last 12 Premier League games against Arsenal at Old Trafford but did suffer a 2-0 loss to West Ham in the league last time out.
That combination of history and form makes a draw (3.40) look fairly attractive and considering the Gunners’ poor defence can be combined with over 2.5 goals being scored (1.58) for an alluring multi worth 8.25.
Stay Away
Chelsea might be starting to gel under Frank Lampard but the Blues aren’t worth touching this weekend against Brighton.
After a 7-1 win in the Carabao Cup, Chelsea are considered overwhelming favourites (1.40) but remain far from the safest bet.
