Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has two striker targets under consideration for January.
The Independent says he is targeting Juventus‘ Mario Mandzukic and Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele.
The two forwards are ‘under consideration’ after United let Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez leave the club in the summer without replacements being signed.
Mandzukic, 33, was on United’s radar late in the summer window but they decided against a bid due to his advanced age and wage demands. Dembele has been struggling for game time at Barcelona, but the Catalans would surely demand a big fee for the Frenchman.
Solskjaer and Ed Woodward have held a ‘long discussion’ about rebuilding the squad and January investment is required.
