More misery for Manchester United – Premier League bets of the week: Matchday 5

The Red Devils are winless across their last three matches and provide good value for another slip up

After a shaky start to their Premier League campaign, banking on more misery for Manchester United could be a safe bet this weekend.

The Red Devils play host to high-flying Leicester City on Sunday (AEST) and are without a win in their past three games where they’ve dropped points against Wolves, Crystal Palace and Southampton

Despite that form, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are surprisingly short odds with Sportsbet of claiming a win (1.72) with both a draw (3.60) and Foxes win (4.50) presenting potentially good value.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are yet to lose this season and currently sit third in the league – three points clear of United, who are eighth.

While Leicester’s recent record against the Red Devils isn’t too encouraging, winning only one of their last 20 league encounters, the Foxes’ general form under Rodgers is impressive.

Since the former Celtic coach took charge in March, only Liverpool and Manchester City have accrued more points in the league.

Rodgers has also already claimed a victory at Old Trafford when he guided the Reds to a 3-0 win at the venue back in 2014.

While another three points may be hard to come by, expect Leicester to ask some serious questions of a United side that’s so far struggled for answers this season.

Best Multi-Bet

Chelsea‘s away clash against Wolves looms as an ideal match to jump on this weekend.

While the result is difficult to predict considering both sides’ patchy form, their defensive issues make over 2.5 goals being scored seem very likely (1.97).

With four goals in his past two games, Tammy Abraham also looms as a strong candidate to find the back of the net anytime throughout the match (2.63).

Though alone not the most attractive odds, you can combine the two for a multi valued at 3.75 and if you wanted to really bump up potential returns, you can back Abraham to open the scoring for a mouth-watering multi worth 10.25

Abraham has opened the scoring in his past two outings too, meaning it’s not beyond the realms of possibility.

Stay Away

Having started their seasons strongly, both Liverpool and Manchester City present little value this weekend.

The Reds are 1.12 favourites to beat Newcastle United, while Pep Guardiola’s side are at 1.14 to beat Norwich.

Unless you’ve got some serious cash to splash, both sides aren’t worth your time even if they are unlikely to slip up.
