Dembele pal: Barcelona upset him – but he never showed it

Ousmane Dembele has no regrets digging in his heels at Barcelona this summer.

Barca wanted to use the World Cup winner in a swap to bring Neymar back to the club from PSG. But Dembele refused to be part of the exchange, despite pressure from club directors.

And a friend of the player told L’Equipe: “You have to live it from the inside to understand how he is and measure his strength of character. Of course, one can imagine that the situation did not leave him indifferent. But he never let anything show through, he never seemed disturbed.

“He often repeated that he did not care about everything that was happening.”
