Lyle Foster: Former Orlando Pirates striker joins Cercle Brugge on loan from AS Monaco

The former Orlando Pirates marksman has secured a move to Belgium as he looks to establish himself in Europe

South Africa youth international Lyle Foster has joined Belgian side Cercle Brugge on loan from Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco.

Brugge released the following statement on Friday:

A club statement read: Cercle Brugge strengthens itself with South African Lyle Foster and Briton Jonathan Panzo. Both players come from AS Monaco on a rental basis this season.”

“Jonathan Panzo, 18, is a central defender who made the switch from Chelsea to Monaco in 2018. Panzo is also international and captain at the U19 of England, for which he has already collected a total of 8 caps.

“Lyle Foster, 18, is a real center striker who has played for AS Monaco since the beginning of 2019. Foster received his youth training with the Orlando Pirates and is a South African youth international.

“Both players will be hired from AS Monaco until the end of this season.

“While Jonathan Panzo and Lyle Foster come to Cercle on a rental basis, Kirill Klimov makes the final switch to AS Monaco. The 18-year-old attacker arrived at Cercle Brugge in January 2019, but is now continuing his career at AS Monaco.”
