We decided to select five standout moments from behind the scenes in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), the Multichoice Diski Challenge and one from South Africans abroad too.
Many Bafana Bafana fans are wondering how Darren Keet is doing in Europe after leaving Bidvest Wits.
We found this video of Keet talking to his new club’s TV station at Oud-Heverlee Leuven in Belgium.
Keet is in high spirits, answers questions about all the talk on South African Twitter and is just satisfied to play and get a clean sheet. Leuven beat RFC Wetteren 6-0 in the Belgian Cup, and he is hoping to play against Percy Tau in Belgium this season.
In the second video, Mamelodi Sundowns fans are overexcited about Andile Jali’s performance in their 4-0 victory against AS Otoho d’Oyo in the Caf Champions League preliminary round game.
Then we take a look at the wonderful atmosphere at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa, where fans were enjoying the Multichoice Diski Challenge this weekend. It is encouraging to see the excellent support for various team’s younger players.
On a lighter note there are two funny videos below – an Orlando Pirates fan Ayabonga Kekana explains why he is resigning as a fan. After Milutin Sredojevic’s resignation over a week ago, now the Buccaneers will have to endure another resignation.
Finally, the laugh is on famous Kaizer Chiefs fan Vuyo. Amakhosi TV caught up with him to explain to Twitter fans why he was celebrating an Orlando Pirates goal at the stadium on the weekend. Vuyo was caught red-handed on television. His answer is a classic. Maybe he was being patriotic. Watch it for yourself.
