Barcelona goalkeeper Neto has delivered a heavy blow to management over his wrist injury.
Marca says Barcelona will be without backup goalkeeper Neto for up to two months after the Brazilian underwent surgery on his fractured wrist.
Neto, who only arrived at the club last month from Valencia, suffered the injury during a training session following the first of the Blaugrana’s two friendlies against Napoli in the United States last week.
The scaphoid bone in the wrist which Neto fractured is a particularly sensitive one which must fully heal before a return to action, meaning that he will have to miss six to eight weeks of football.
