Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is ready to intensify their plans to sign PSG star Neymar this week.
Bartomeu spent the last hours of the tour of the United States stuck to the phone, says AS. He remained permanently connected with the key men of the Neymar operation.
Bartomeu has maintained a direct line with André Cury, the club’s trusted man in Brazil. It is Cury who, in contact with Pini Zahavi, has kept Bartomeu informed about the latest movements of the operation. Zahavi is the prime agent inside the Neymar camp.
Bartomeu does not plan to travel to Paris this week. Instead, the scheduled meeting with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, PSG‘s president, will take place at the ECA summit in Liverpool on August 15 and 16.
PSG chief Leonardo has already confirmed they’re in talks to sell Neymar this month.
He stated, “It is important for everyone to define the future.
“The negotiations for the departure of Neymar are more advanced than before, but that does not mean that there is an agreement.”
