The Northern Irish minnows kept the score down at Molineux but our tipster thinks that the Premier League side will get amongst the goals in Belfast
Wolves travel to Belfast to face Crusaders in Europa League qualification on Thursday night.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side hold a 2-0 lead in the tie after a dominant display at Molineux last week and it would be fair to say Crusaders were content with a two-goal defeat against the English Premier League outfit.
The Northern Irish minnows, though, will need to produce something spectacular if they are to turn this tie around.
Latest odds
Wolves are as short as 1/8 (1.13) with bet365 to come out on top on their trip to Belfast. Crusaders are chalked up as a 14/1 (15.0) chance to claim a famous victory against the men from Molineux, and it is 7/1 (8.0) that the match ends all square.
Team news
Wolves fielded a strong side at Molineux last week, which was perhaps an indication that Santo will take this competition seriously. Subsequently, the visitors may well be close to full-strength at Seaview.
Preview
Crusaders struggled to make much of an impact at Molineux last week. As such, bet365 offer just 8/15 (1.53) that the visitors win to nil on Thursday. The same firm go 4/6 (1.67) that Wolves score in both halves.
The even money (2.0) quote for Wolves to win both halves could also prove popular. All three of those selections would have landed in last week’s first-leg fixture between these teams.
Prediction
Wolves created a lot of chances last week, but were wasteful and had it not been for Ruben Vinagre’s last-gasp strike, Santo’s side would have only held a single goal advantage.
The Premier League side were vastly superior in last week’s tie and their quality may well reap real rewards here should they perform as well again. Indeed, Wolves are certainly expected to get amongst the goals and chalk up a comprehensive victory at Seaview.
Wolves recorded 30 shots on goals on their own patch last week. If the men from Molineux can be clinical this time around, it could prove to be a long night for the hosts.
As such, the 7/4 (2.75) quote for Santo’s side to score at least four goals could provide punters with a path to profit.
