Barcelona great Rivaldo feels Antoine Griezmann‘s arrival makes them a Champions League contender.
Griezmann joins Frenkie de Jong as the Catalan club’s major summer signings, although there continues to be rumours linking Neymar with a return to the Camp Nou.
“Barcelona are always one of the favourites, they would be even without Griezmann, but it’s obvious that with a player like him your chances of doing something great will increase,” Rivaldo explained to Betfair.
“This means, without a doubt, winning the Champions League or at least reaching the final.
“These investments always add pressure and if Griezmann wants to avoid being questioned, it’s important he knows how to manage the situation and play his best football to justify the expense.”
