Kashima Antlers attacker Hiroki Abe is on his way to Barcelona.
Abe is moving to Barca in a €2m deal and will initially start with the B team.
He will be closely monitored by the first team and could be involved in the summer tour of Japan.
Abe played three games in the Copa America group phase with Japan, starting the draw with Uruguay, his country’s best performance at the competition.
He played in an attacking position, similar to Take Kubo, the former Barça youngster who has now joined Real Madrid.
