Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt has turned down an offer from Barcelona.
El Larguero says the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, has played a decisive role in De Ligt rejection of Barcelona‘s offer.
Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu travelled to Amsterdam to convince the player of a move to the Camp Nou, just as he did some months ago to lure Frenkie de Jong to the club, but this time it seems that he has been unsuccessful in his attempt. This despite the two clubs having an agreement in place for a transfer fee of around €75m.
PSG, who are the front-runners to seal his signature, as well as Bayern Munich and Juventus. All three giants are offering bigger contracts than what Barca tabled.
