Barcelona striker Luis Suarez is delighted to be back for Uruguay’s Copa America campaign.
He underwent a procedure on his knee which ruled him out of Barcelona‘s Copa del Rey final with Valencia in order to reach the tournament in Brazil.
The 32-year-old forward looks to be nearing peak condition after appearing in Uruguay’s friendly 3-0 win over Panama, in which he scored a freekick.
“I felt very good, I am very happy,” he said after the match.
“I knew that, with time and hard work, I was going to arrive just in time, because there are almost 10 days left for the first match [of the tournament].
“I am happy to play again and to feel physically good again.”
