Manchester City are making a late move for departing FC Tokyo whizkid Takefusa Kubo.
The former Barcelona academy product is expected to transfer to Europe, according to Nikkan Sports, with City now making their move.
‘Take’ was one of the youngsters for whom Barcelona were sanctioned by FIFA for signing underage players.
In June he turns 18 and could leave FC Tokyo for a future in Europe.
Barcelona were working on his return but they are not the only ones, with Real Madrid and PSG having made their interest known to the player’s agent.
And now City have joined the scramble with it confirmed Kubo intends to return to Europe this summer.
