The agent of Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt is pushing him towards Manchester United, it is being claimed in Spain.
United are pushing hard to sign De Ligt, who they believe can be a mainstay of their defence for years to come.
Barcelona, who were initially confident of signing the 19-year-old, are now facing a fight to get it done.
Spanish journalist Diego Martinez has now claimed that agent Mino Raiola has instructed De Ligt to play it cool in interviews to generate hype.
And he has hinted that is something that will make United extremely happy.
“Lots of questions with regards to De Ligt,” he tweeted.
“The interviews are to build hype, which is something that Raiola has instructed him to do! #MUFC love hype on announcements!”
