Barcelona‘s move for Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann won’t end their plans to strengthen the attack.
Mundo Deportivo says Barca intend to sign Griezmann for his €120m buyout clause and then will seek a natural No9 to add to Ernesto Valverde’s squad.
Barca management believe they’re short of a striker and do not see Griezmann as a natural goalscorer.
The Frenchman will be offered a deeper role in attack, with Philippe Coutinho to make way in Barca’s midfield.
Meanwhile, the search for a new No9 will continue even after Griezmann’s deal goes through.
