Tabitha Chawinga and Elizabeth Addo impressed in Jiangsu Suning 7-1 victory over Changchun in a Chinese Women’s Football Championship semi-final encounter.
Chawinga scored a hat-trick while Ghana‘s Addo provided her Malawian teammate with two assists as their Chinese side edged closer to defend the crown they won last year.
Chawinga has now scored 19 goals in seven games in all competitions for Jiangsu.
In the other semi-final, last year’s finalists Dalian Quanjian earned a 1-0 win over Thembi Kgatlana and Linda Motlhalo’s Beijing Phoenix to set up a final rematch with Jiansgu.
Prior to Monday’s final between Jiangsu and Dalian, Shandong face Wuhan in the seventh-eighth place play-off, while Guangdong Meizhou will take on Francisca Ordega’s Shanghai in the battle for the fifth-sixth place spot.
Before the third-fourth place play-off, Changchun will tackle Kgatlana and Mothalo’s Beijing on the same day.
