Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has been caught shoving Andrew Robertson in the back of the head during their Champions League defeat to Liverpool.
Robertson had been seen shoving Messi’s head in the opening minutes of the Anfield clash, and there was an ongoing battle between the Liverpool left-back and the Barcelona star.
And it seems Messi got Robertson back later in the game for his early antics, as footage shows him walking up behind Robertson and pushing his head forward.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson intervened in a bid to calm the situation. But Messi continued to argue with Robertson and the referee eventually separated them.
Jordan Henderson alerted to Messi starting on Robertson and told him to back off. My skipper.
Love how Robertson didn’t get provoked from a slap, any Barcelona player would’ve fell on the floor crying. pic.twitter.com/950S0rh1Oj

Earlier in the clash, Robertson was seen shoving a floored Messi in the back of the head.
Once you anger Messi, he will score 2-3 goals on you and your team. Don’t make Messi angry. Robertson will regret this one. #LIVBAR#LFCBarca#UCLpic.twitter.com/pghNx30WPW
