Manchester City are stepping up their pursuit of Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes.
The free-scoring midfielder is set to be sold by Sporting this summer, with his buyout clause set at €100m.
A Bola reports City and Sporting held a meeting in Lisbon this week to discuss terms for Fernandes.
And it’s also emerged that Sporting director Hugo Viana has scheduled a flight to Manchester in the coming days to continue the discussions at Etihad stadium.
Just yesterday, City midfielder Bernardo Silva said: “Bruno [Fernandes] is a great player.
“He has made a fantastic season with many goals, many assists that are not normal for a player of his position, he has the spearhead numbers and we will see what happens at the end of the season.
“[He is a] player who can play in other championships.”
