AS Vita star Jean-Marc Makusu has agreed to leave the Vodacom Ligue 1 giants for Moroccan outfit RS Berkane in a deal worth R7 million.

Mundele, 26, has been one of the standout performers for Florent Ibenge’s side since joining the club in January 2018 from Egyptian outfit Wadi Degla.

However, his seven goals in 10 CAF Champions League appearances this season was not enough to keep the DRC giants in the competition as they have subsequently allowed him to leave the club at the end of the season.

In an announcement via their official Facebook account, the 14-time league champions revealed the staggering transfer fee that convinced them to allow the player to relocate to North Africa.

“Jean-Marc Makusu Mundele will join RS Berkane from Morocco for a 3-year contract, the transfer amount is set of $486,436 (R7 million),” the statement read.

“After the end of the 2018/19 season, he will join his new club. Good luck to Makusu and thank you for the service made in our club.”

It’s been reported by Football365 that the eight-time capped Leopards attacker will earn a $35,000 (R500 000) a month with the Moroccan side.
