Real Madrid Due to his performances with Spain

Spain captain Sergio Ramos tops UEFA‘s rankings in regard to international performances throughout the season.
The Real Madrid centre-back is followed by Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands), Haris Seferovic (Switzerland), Andriy Pyatov (Ukraine) and Antoine Griezmann (France).
Each player is rated by the European football governing body depending on various factors related to their positions.
Ramos‘ low figures on fouls and errors committed, as well as passes completed and successful interceptions of the ball, earn him more points than any other player in the continent.
In La Roja‘s last game against Norway – apart from scoring the winner – the 32-year-old completed 82 out of the 87 passes he attempted, whilst he committed only two fouls and recovered three balls, along with not receiving a yellow card.
He scored his first international goal on October 12, 2005, in the 2006 World Cup qualifier against San Marino and he has already surpassed Isidro Langara and Pedro Rodriguez on 17 goals.
With 162 caps for La Roja, Ramos is only five games away from matching Iker Casillas as the player who has played the most for Spain, a figure he could surpass in October 2019.
