NEW YORK (Friday, March 22, 2019) – The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued an undisclosed fine and an additional game suspension (two games total) to Philadelphia Union midfielder Marco Fabián for violent conduct during the 58th minute of Philadelphia’s match against Sporting Kansas City on March 10. Fabián, who initially received a red card for the incident, served his first match suspension on March 17 against Atlanta United. Fabián will serve his additional game suspension on March 23 against Columbus Crew SC (VIDEO).
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Montreal Impact midfielder Ignacio Piatti guilty of simulation/embellishment. Piatti has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 45+ minute of Montreal’s match against Orlando City SC on March 16 (VIDEO).
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found the Montreal Impact and Orlando City SC in violation of the mass confrontation policy during the 90+ minute of their match on March 16. Both clubs will be issued a warning for their first violation. Due to his role in the mass confrontation, Orlando City SC forward Dom Dwyer has been issued an undisclosed fine for instigating and escalating a mass confrontation in the 90+ minute of the match on March 16 (VIDEO).
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Real Salt Lake defender Marcelo Silva in violation of leaving the field in a timely and orderly manner following his red card. Silva has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions during the 66th minute of Real Salt Lake’s match against D.C. United on March 16 (VIDEO).
