Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reportedly keen on acquiring the services of Christopher Nkunku from Paris Saint-Germain after witnessing the struggles of Denis Suarez in the club’s shirt this year.
Suarez was recruited from Spanish giants Barcelona on a loan move during the winter transfer window with the obligation to buy at the end of the ongoing campaign.
However, the versatile midfielder has simply struggled to break into Emery’s side and he has been restricted to just six substitute appearances to date.
According to The Sun, the Gunners already seem on the hunt for a replacement with NKunku – formerly a target in January, back on their radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
Nkunku has generally featured in the central advanced midfield position, but he has recently shown his prowess on the right side of the attack which seems to have caught the eye of Gunners scouts.
The versatility is something Emery is after with the expected departure of Aaron Ramsey and it remains to be seen whether they can convince Les Parisiens to sanction his departure.
Back in January, Arsenal had made a loan approach for the playmaker with the option to sign, but Les Parisiens declined the offer as they were not keen on parting ways with the player at the midway stage of the season.
