Zlatan Ibrahimovic has missed out on the LA Galaxy’s last two games due to an Achilles problem, but the superstar striker appears to be in line for a return to action in his team’s next match.
That’s the word from head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto, who gave reporters an update on Ibra’s situation at the Galaxy’s Thursday training session.
“We give him one week more to stay out and recover to be 100 percent when we start training on Tuesday,” Schelotto said. “I think he’ll be ready for Portland.”

That would be the Timbers’ visit to Dignity Health Sports Park on the last day of this month, a nationally-televised Sunday-evening Western Conference clash (9 pm ET | ESPN2 in US, MLS LIVE on DAZN in Canada).
LA are 1-1 in The Lion’s absence, falling 2-0 at FC Dallas before dispatching Minnesota United 3-2 last week.
