Olympique Lyon put five past Toulouse, while Mario Balotelli was on target to help Marseille defeat Saint-Etienne on Sunday evening in Ligue 1.
Olympique Lyon 5-1 Toulouse
Olympique Lyon were in a rampant mood as they thrashed Toulouse 5-1 to cement third spot in the table.
Toulouse were holding their own after Mathieu Dossevi cancelled out Memphis Depay’s 10th minute strike.
However, Lyon hit back through Bertrand Traore, Nabil Fekir and a brace from Moussa Dembele.
Olympique Marsielle 2-0 Saint-Etienne
Marseille leapfrogged Saint-Etienne into fourth spot with a 2-0 victory on Sunday evening.
Mario Balotelli opened the scoring with a neat finish from six-yards out, before Florian Thauvin doubled the lead from the penalty spot on 21 minutes.
Nice 1-0 Strasbourg
Nice maintained their top-four dream with a 1-0 win over Strasbourg at the Allianz Riviera.
Algeria international Youcef Atal netted the game’s only goal after 20 minutes.
Lille 1-0 Dijon
Wesley Lautoa’s 72nd minute own goal was enough to hand second-place Lille a 1-0 win over Dihon.
Guingamp 0-0 Nantes
Valentin Rongier missed a penalty in second-half stoppage time as Nantes could only manage a point against bottom-placed Guingamp.
