New England Revolution 2, KR Reykjavik 1 | 2019 MLS Preseason Match Recap

Cristian Penilla scored early from the penalty spot and Luis Caicedo struck the winner in the second half as the New England Revolution closed their preseason with a 2-1 victory over KR Reykjavik on Saturday.

New England never trailed in the encounter at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., just three days after suffering a 6-2 defeat to Orlando City SC. Sandwiched in between was a 4-1 victory over USL League One side Greenville Triumph.

The Revolution open their regular season at FC Dallas on Saturday (4:30 pm ET | TV & streaming info).
