Paris Saint-Germain moved 17 points clear of second-place Lille, while Amiens and Guingamp were victorious in Saturday’s Ligue 1 action.

Paris Saint Germain 3-0 Nimes

Paris Saint-Germain’s march to an eighth league title took off with a 3-0 drubbing over Nimes at the Stade Parc de Princes.

Christopher Nkunku gave the home side a halftime lead with a 22nd minute strike.

Golden Boy Kylian Mbappe netted a second-half double to complete the victory, and also took his tally to 22 goals in the French top flight.

Nimes remain in mid-table, while PSG followed up a 5-1 hammering of Montpellier with another solid display to maintain their hunt for the crown in Thomas Tuchel’s first season.

Amiens 1-0 OGC Nice

An 11th minute strike from Serhou Guirassy gave Amiens a 1-0 win over OGC Nice at the Stade da la Licorne.

The outcome sees the home side jump from 17 to 16th place, while Nice’s European chances suffered a significant dent.

Guingamp 1-0 Angers

Relegation-threatned Guingamp dusted off a two-match winless run with a 1-0 victory over Angers at home on Saturday night.

As the match seemed destined for a draw, Lucas Deaux struck within two minutes from time added on to grab the full haul of points.

Guingamp are now a single point off second-from-bottom side Caen, who travel to Toulouse on Sunday afternoon.
