The UCL last 16 returns on Wednesday evening – who will be crowned the Santander Player of the Week?
The first legs of the mouth-watering UEFA Champions League last 16 will wrap up on Wednesday night as four more European juggernauts seek to make their first stride towards the quarter-finals.
But who will rise up above the rest and be crowned the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week, sponsored by Banco Santander?
Atletico Madrid host Juventus in one of the ties of the round and will look to World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann to once again prove their talisman.
The France international has been directly involved in six of his side’s nine UCL goals this season and will hope to outshine the competition’s all-time top goalscorer as Cristiano Ronaldo hopes for a happy return to the Spanish capital.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City travel to Schalke hoping to once again dominate both possession and the scoreline.
And key to their hopes of doing so will be defender Aymeric Laporte, who has completed a UCL season-best 443 short passes for the reigning English champions.
Voting for Player of the Week opens on Thursday.
