KYLIAN MBAPPE could already have a successor lined up at PSG – Kylian Mbappe.
The French giants are reportedly keen to snap up the 11-year-old who shares the same name as France’s current world class 20-year-old.
PSG are reportedly hoping to add another Kylian Mbappe to their ranks in this 11-year-old, pictured with his dad Eric
What’s more, the youngster has links to another top French player.
He was born in the Paris suburb city of Roissy-en-Brie, where Manchester United footballer Paul Pogba is from.
Le Parisien reports that PSG are keen to add another Mbappe to their academy.
His favoured position is at the head of the diamond in midfield.
Kylian Mbappe is one of the hottest prospects in world football – but some would say he is already world class
The 11-year-old Kylian Mbappe is from the same Paris suburb as Manchester United star Paul Pogba
Speaking to the French paper, the child’s father Eric says it is purely coincidence that his son shares the same name as PSG’s star man.
And he is refusing to compare him to the already-established French international.
He said: “I’ve often been asked if I’ve purposely named my son that way.
“We quickly forget that they are only eight years apart and that, inevitably, the footballer was not known when my son was born.
“My son will do what he wants and we will not push him at all costs to become a professional footballer.
“If this is the case and he goes to PSG, who have contacted us, the connection will obviously be made with the other Kylian.”
PSG’s Mbappe burst onto the scene with Monaco aged just 16-years-old, and it was clear early on that he was destined for great things.
This season he has scored 24 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions. He has also netted 10 goals in 28 for the France national side.
If the young Kylian Mbappe achieves what the elder one has, he won’t have done half bad
And Eric is already dreaming of seeing the two Mbappe’s one day playing together.
He added: “”I would like the two Kylians see each other.
“The older one will have no trouble in giving him [younger] some confidence. And they will probably have plenty to say to each other.”
